Explore Europe this spring

When you are on exchange, it is the perfect moment to go visit some European cities. If
you’re from overseas this was probably already on your agenda, but also when you’re
from Europe spring is a nice moment to explore some more of the continent or a pay visit to your favorite city again.

How to get away?
Eindhoven Airport is your best friend for cheap flights. This airport in the south of the
Netherlands offers flights to many destinations in Europe. If you use the ‘Explore destinations’ function on their website, you can check out all the cheap flights that leave from Eindhoven Airport in the next few months. For example exploring Zadar in Croatia for only €12,95, sounds good right? You can take the train to Eindhoven from Utrecht Centraal and arrive only 50 minutes later. For cities closer to Utrecht like Paris or Berlin you can also travel with Flixbus.

My first spring get away tip is visiting Stockholm in April. Around that time the blossoms are all bloomy. It’s not quite like in Japan, but hey, this is much closer to home! You can find the trees in the heart of Stockholm in the park called Kungsträdgården. During this period they also organize a Japanese festival to celebrate spring.

2- Seville
In the beginning of may Feria de Abril is celebrated in the south of Spain. Feria de Abril
included women in flamenco dresses, dancing, amazing food and great music. It’s a traditional festivity and perfect if you want to experience typical Andalusian culture. Feria in Seville this year takes place from the 4th till the 11th of may.

3 – Paris
When temperature rises, the streets fill up with terraces and excitement for the new season. Parisians start to spend time in parks and outdoor activities like fairs and flea markets return from their winter sleep. And what about a long evening walk around the banks of the Seine?

Enjoy Europe!
