Utrecht knows many nice cinemas, but some of these places aren’t easy to find. That’s why we have summed up the 6 most awesome cinemas for you. Next time when you want to go watch a movie with your friends, boy/girlfriend or date, you can easily pick your preferred cinema from this list!

  1. Louis Hartlooper Complex

This is a café, restaurant and art house cinema located at Ledig Erf. Many locals like to visit Louis Hartlooper because of its old school vibes. You can also take your drinks from the café into the cinema. Do we need to say more?!

  1. Kinepolis

This is the biggest cinema of Utrecht, where you can watch all international blockbuster movies from enormous movie screens. When you arrive early and show your movie ticket, you can have a nice menu at Speys. This is a nice restaurant located in Kinepolis.

  1. ‘t Hoogt

‘t Hoogt is a cool arthouse cinema where you can watch all sorts of art house movies. Keep an eye on their Facebook page to stay up to date when their special events take place. These special events include movie nights at unique locations all around Utrecht. An unforgettable experience!

  1. Pathé Rembrandt

When you want to visit a nicely located cinema close to the Oudegracht, then visit Pathé Rembrandt! Here you can watch the most popular blockbusters while eating salted caramel popcorn (yep, at Pathé Rembrandt they actually sell this type of popcorn!).

  1. Cinemec

Cinemec is located in Leidsche Rijn, one of the newest neighborhoods of Utrecht. Although we have to admit this location is quite far away from the city center, Cinemec is definitely worth a visit. Especially in Summer, when you can watch movies outside on the rooftop of the building!
