ESN trip to the Efteling winter wonderland

After tomorrow’s legendary ESN New Year’s Gala at Stairway to Heaven (tickets can still be purchased for the spontaneous ones), some party animals will prefer a relaxed start into the weekend. In order to combine the weekend with a famous Dutch sight : the Efteling theme park, ESN Utrecht wants to take you into the land of fairy tales and rollercoasters in a stunning winter wonderland atmosphere this Saturday, 9th of January.

Efteling offers various attractions for all ages, such as roller coasters, fun rides, live shows (i.a. Europe’s biggest water show Aquanura) and especially during winter time an ice Efteling_vl_hollanderrink for ice skating, a snow slide, cross-country skiing, a fairytale forest, bonfires and much more fun stuff! The park was already founded in 1952 and has become a popular attraction in the Netherlands since then. You will learn about famous Dutch fairy tales and may even recognise similarities with some fairy tales you grew up with…

If you feel like awakening your inner childhood memories again with your favourite fairytales, taking yo

ur new fling from the ESN gala or best friend ice skating and getting comfy-cosy with a cup of hot chocolate at one of the warming bonfires with your fellow ESN friends, then you should not miss the ESN Winter Efteling trip!

You can purchase a ticket for only 22€ at the ESN office (Achter Sint Pieter 25) this week (until Friday, January 8th), so better hurry, since we only have a limited amount of spots. Make sure to bring your ESN Card with you ☺

The trip on Saturday, January 9th, includes a bus ride to the Efteling and back to Utrecht, as well as the entrance fee to the Efteling, including all of its rides. Food and drinks (such as hot chocolate, mulled wine etc.) can be purchased in the park. The trip starts at the Beatrix Theater @ 9:45AM and we should be back around 20:30 PM.

The trip is a perfect chance for you to visit a truly authentic and iconic Dutch theme park with your international friends and Dutch locals in a unique, wintry atmosphere. For more information about the park, please go to the website
