Livingroom concert with Tim Dawn and Marie Angerer

You must have already heard about it; next Friday the 11th of December you’ll have the amazing opportunity to attend a concert of two great upcoming artists. But this won’t be a normal concert. Instead of standing packed in a big crowd, staring up to the stage, the concert will take place in the cozy, relaxed setting of a living room. No sweaty neighbors pushing for a better spot, you’ll be able to enjoy the music of these young, upcoming artists sitting down comfortably, while being so close to the artists you can almost touch them! If that doesn’t sound attractive…

So, let’s introduce the artists a bit more.

First of all you’ll be able to listen to the band Tim Dawn, based around singer-songwriter Thijs Vroegop. He comes from our lovely city, made it to the finale of the best singer-songwriter of Utrecht, and even won the “song of the year award” at THISSfest (The Holland International Singer-Songwriter Festival), with his song “She”. He has already had the chance to play at some well-known venues as Sugarfactory, Melkweg and Tivoli and at several Dutch festivals. This all makes him a very promising artist. He describes his own sound as a “unique melodic sound in between modern-day Pop and Indie”. Sounds interesting? Here’s a little preview.

Second up is German singer-songwriter Marie Angerer. Especially for us she will come all the way to our little country, to entertain us with her Indie-Pop music. She is already well on her way to become  famous, with multiple performances each month, not only in Germany, but also in the Netherlands and New Zeeland! Her motto is to make people happy with her music, so let’s see how happy she will make us. This little preview already excited me!

Do you want to attend the event? Run to the ESN office to lay your hands on one of the last tickets! For only three euro’s you’ll be able to attend the Livingroom concert. And to make it even better: all the money will be donated to “Make a Wish”, a foundation that makes the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions come true.

Check the Facebook event for the last updates and I hope to see you next week!
